I-nnovation AWARDS
Press release

The nominees of the 2019 I-nnovation Awards are…

As part of the trade show SOLUTRANS (19 to 23 November 2019), the judging panel of the I-nnovation AWARDS (the new name for the exhibition’s innovation competition) convened on 31 October at the French Bodywork Federation (FFC) to shortlist the most innovative entries at this 2019 edition. Out of more than 50 valid entries, 22 innovations were shortlisted, seven in the Body Builders category and 15 in the Equipment Suppliers category.

The winners of the Bronze, Silver and Gold awards will be announced at the official prize-giving ceremony taking place on Tuesday 19 November at 7:00 pm at an evening held at Lyon Chamber of Commerce.

Another notable development is that from now on, a “Joseph Libner Award”, in tribute to the former FFC chairman, will at each edition distinguish a company for an innovation displaying specific environmental merit.

The I-nnovation Awards panel is made up of technical executives from heavy duty vehicle manufacturers, acknowledged industry professionals (partner transport federations, competitivity clusters) and specialist journalists.

These experts deliberated and selected the best innovative solutions in the categories of Body Builders and Equipment Suppliers.

This year, the judges underlined the very high standard of entries, a sign of the indisputable vitality of the industry. The panel members applauded the dedication of applicants who made special efforts to showcase their innovations revolving around vehicle and personal safety, connectivity, lower fuel consumption and carbon emissions, productivity, noise reduction, etc.

The official ceremony for the I-nnovation Awards will be held on Tuesday 19 November at 7:00 pm at a special evening held at the Lyon Chamber of Commerce, with presentations of:

  • 3 Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in the Body Builders category;
  • 3 Gold, Silver and Bronze awards in the Equipment Suppliers category;
  • 1 Joseph Libner Award in each category.

All these innovations can be discovered at SOLUTRANS, from 19 to 23 November at Eurexpo Lyon, on the stands of the respective exhibitors.
