The FFC, the owner and organiser of SOLUTRANS, is the only trade association that represents both the upstream and downstream segments of the Heavy-Duty and Urban Vehicle industry. In this respect, it was chosen by PFA Automobile Sector and Mobility to be the lead representative in all issues dealing with the development of this industry. This distinction brings benefits once again this year to SOLUTRANS. In 2019, the exhibition will display the widest spectrum of exhibitors in terms of specialities and countries represented. HGV manufacturers have naturally answered the call, with major truck builders confirming their attendance. Bodywork manufacturers, the essential links in the ecosystem, will also be on hand to present their solutions. And how could these major two major players advance without the essential assistance of OEMs, also massively represented in the aisles of SOLUTRANS each year.
FROM UPSTREAM TO DOWNSTREAM
The halls of Eurexpo will also feature initiatives conducted by leading names in spare parts distribution: once again this year, the show is proud to welcome international purchasing alliances, together with repair networks that are essential to the functioning of the industry, and also start-ups and competition clusters who work for the future of our professions.
If SOLUTRANS has become the international reflection of a whole industry, this is because its actors interact directly or indirectly with a common goal: serving the customer. Manufacturing a vehicle for their customer, fitting a vehicle for their customer, maintaining it for their customer: these are the leitmotifs of the profession, whose vitality is showcased at SOLUTRANS.
The major themes of the next edition have also been designed with this in mind, in order to offer insight to professionals from all sectors, always with the heavy-duty vehicle as a backdrop. Over the coming months, we will provide further details of all the content, talks and workshops dedicated to the many professions working in our industry.
In the words of Patrick Charlton, chairman of the FFC and of SOLUTRANS, “The Exhibition, as a benchmark event in the heavy-duty and urban vehicle sector, is the meeting place for the whole industry, and its success is underpinned by the breadth of the offering proposed by exhibitors, from vehicles’ design to their end-of-life, with due regard to the specificities of each of them.”
